Club & Committee

The Midland Basset Hound Club was registered with the Kennel Club, with 42 founder members, in 1973.

In 1975 the club was given permission to hold the first championship show. Held at the Stoneleigh Agricultural Centre the Judges were Mr George Johnston (Sykemoor) - Dogs and Mrs D Crowther-Davies - Bitches.

The Dog CC and Best of Breed was awarded to Mrs P Moncur's - Ch. Balleroy Luther and the Bitch CC was won by Mrs B White's - Ch. Rollinhills Silver Wings.

Since that time the club has held two shows a year; an Open Show and a Championship Show; together with various other events each year.
